ZERO Crystalline Silica

Designed for beauty. Created with responsibility.

WHAT IS CRISTALLINE SILICA

Crystalline silica is a naturally occurring mineral found in quartz, engineered stone, granite, bricks, concrete and tiles. During cutting, grinding, polishing and fabrication, these materials can release fine respirable crystalline silica (RCS) dust, creating serious occupational health risks for fabricators and workers. Leading health organizations, including the WHO and IARC, recognize prolonged silica dust exposure as hazardous and associated with severe respiratory diseases such as silicosis.

In response, several governments have introduced bans, strict exposure limits and tighter engineered stone safety regulations. To comply with global bans and safeguard worker health, leading engineered stone factories have announced plans to shift production toward silica-free alternatives from 2028, replacing traditional quartz with recycled glass and other safer mineral technologies.

This transition is accelerating demand for zero-silica and silica-free engineered stone surfaces designed to support safer fabrication, healthier workplaces and more responsible architectural material solutions.
